Ryan is our Community Engagement Pastor on staff. Ryan helps us pursue our mission and strategy through engagement with the local community and beyond. In addition, he listens to community partners and local churches as we seek the common good together.
Before joining the staff in 2018, Ryan was the founder and President of Forgotten Voices. In this role, he was a missionary for 14 years, supported by West Shore Free Church. Before that, Ryan led economic development initiatives with the Capital Region Economic Development Corporation serving the Harrisburg Area. Ryan has a Master’s in Public Policy from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government and a Bachelors in Politics from Messiah University.
Ryan resides in Mechanicsburg with his wife, Katie, and three children. In addition, they also host children in their home through Safe Families for Children. Ryan enjoys being outdoors with family and friends, helping organizations that work with orphaned and vulnerable children, drinking a Dr. Pepper, cheering for the Red Sox (or other Boston sports), and talking with strangers.
