We are a community that wants to support parents in raising their children in the faith. Child dedication is an opportunity to celebrate that children are a gift from the Lord to be stewarded for His glory. Parents thank God for blessing them with children and then offer their children back to Him, acknowledging their responsibility and accountability to God for how they raise their children.
Come celebrate, worship and pray over a child and family as parents dedicate their children to the Lord for his purposes and glory.
Our next Child Dedication Service will be:
Sun, March 23 @ 4 p.m. (Worship Center)
Prayer is a powerful tool and we invite you to use the prompts below as you pray over the children in your life and in our church family!
That they will be set apart for God’s glory and use / able to see the sinful nature of their hearts and their inability to save themselves / repent from their sins and put their trust in Jesus to save them
That they will love the Lord with all their heart, mind, soul, and strength / grow in the fruits of the Spirit / hate what is evil and love what is good / always stay rooted in a love for God’s Word and walk in obedience to Him / have teachable spirits
That they will be filled with the Holy Spirit even from childhood / able to understand and articulate their faith in a way that draws others to Jesus / filled with compassion for lost people and a boldness in sharing their faith / compelled by the love of Jesus to care for the needs of others / choose their friends wisely and be a friend to the friendless / root their identity and sense of worth in Christ alone
That they will depend on the Lord for all they need to raise their children for His glory / have an ever-deepening walk with the Lord / be effective in teaching and training their children / have marriages that remain strong / be able to connect with the hearts of their children / keep their families rooted and united in the Lord
What does it mean to publicly declare your desire to raise your children to know and love the Lord? Why should I consider this and how does it work? We invite you to come to our next class and find out more.
Sundays, March 2 & 16 @ 9 – 10:15 a.m. (Room 200)
