Awesome Adventure Special Needs Ministry
Awesome Adventure is for all children, including those who navigate special challenges on their adventure. We joyfully welcome children with special needs into our ministry and strive to create an inclusive environment where their God-given gifts can shine as they glorify the Lord alongside their peers on Sunday mornings.
Support Provided
-Adapted lessons & crafts
-1:1 trained buddy (“Adventure Guide”) if needed
-Tools such as fidgets, schedules, and a sensory room on both floors
Sunday Mornings with a Buddy
If your child needs a 1:1 “Adventure Guide” buddy to successfully participate in a Sunday morning class, we do our best to provide one! Adventure Guides complete all required background checks and are interviewed and screened by the Special Needs Coordinator. The Special Needs Coordinator trains Adventure Guides on the specific needs of your child and places them on a regular schedule to provide consistency and opportunity for Christ-centered relationship-building.

Anna is the Children’s Ministry Special Needs Coordinator, and in her role, Anna guides families of children with special needs by providing the physical and spiritual supports necessary for their child to be successful using their God-given gifts and abilities in children’s ministry.
