Share the Gospel Through Words and Actions

West Shore Missions 2026

This summer, we have seven teams going out into the world with the message of Jesus! Discover more about where they’ll be visiting and what they will be doing below. Would you join us in praying for these teams?

Bosnia & Herzegovina

May 21-31

In this country of 3.65 million people (51% Muslim, 31% Orthodox, 16% Catholic), there are less than 1000 Evangelical believers, who gather throughout the country in churches of 15-50 worshipers on Sundays. Our team will serve alongside the believers in the cities Zenica and Varesh. They’ll join local churches in their weekly activities, encourage local believers through teaching and prayer, conduct home visits to families who are not yet believers, and pray over several towns and villages where there are no known believers.

Ways To Pray:

  • Pray for the Bosnian believers to be encouraged by the team’s visit and friendship.
  • Pray for the team as they share God’s word, testimonies, and build relationships.
  • Pray for many opportunities to share the Gospel and minister in prayer among the families the team visits,  and with the people they encounter during their prayer walks in various places.

Alaska, USA

June 13-21

Located an hour north of Fairbanks in the Alaskan wilderness, Globe Creek Camp serves children, youth, and adults by providing fun and challenging outdoor experiences in a Christ-focused environment that prompts spiritual discovery and growth. The long, harsh winters, followed by very short summers, limit the time for new building, renovations, and maintenance to be tackled. Our team will construct the foundations for a vehicle bridge across Globe Creek. They will also assist with a number of other ongoing projects to help the camp carry out its God-given purpose.

Ways To Pray:

  • Pray for John & Jen Mitchell who lead the camp ministry to be refreshed and encouraged by the team’s presence and vitality in the Lord.
  • Pray for good progress in the work, for no injuries, and for dry weather.

New Hampshire, USA

May 21-31 and Sept. 13-19

Men and women from all walks of life have come to His Mansion to participate in their year-long residential program, specially designed to help them overcome life-controlling issues and become rooted in Christ. One aspect of regaining a healthy lifestyle is daily work that is purposeful and life-giving. With that in mind, the ministry grows its own food, harvests and stores all that is needed for the year, and heats all its buildings with firewood. Our team will work alongside the residents in multiple tasks with the goal of encouraging them in their walk with God and their journey towards wholeness.

Ways To Pray:

  • Pray for the staff as they help the residents work through hard life issues, instruct in God’s wisdom, and model true discipleship in community.
  • Pray for the team to have good, encouraging, and loving interaction with the residents while they serve together.

Uganda

July 15-26

Uganda has made social and economic progress in recent decades. At the same time, poverty remains widespread, particularly in rural areas where many families rely on subsistence farming and live on very low incomes. Because of hospital shortages and the lack of trained health workers, medicines, and equipment—especially outside major cities — access to medical services is often limited. Long travel distances, overcrowded clinics, and out‑of‑pocket costs mean that preventable and treatable illnesses still cause significant suffering. Our medical team will conduct clinics in rural communities in partnership with the Sports Outreach Institute, an organization that partners with local churches to bring Gospel transformation through health services and other programs.

Ways To Pray:

  • Pray for good cooperation between SOI, local church leaders, and the medical team in each location.
  • Pray for a strong welcome by village community leaders.
  • Pray for the gospel to be clearly shared through the joint presence of the team and local pastor.
  • Pray for safety on the roads and during each outreach.

Czech Republic

July 17-26

This country is widely recognized as one of the most secular countries in Europe, with a large portion of its population identifying as non‑religious or unaffiliated. While Christianity—particularly Roman Catholicism—has historically shaped Czech culture, active Christian belief and church participation are now relatively uncommon. This trend is often linked to historical experiences, including religious conflict and the influence of state atheism during the communist period, which contributed to lasting skepticism toward organized religion. As a result, faith plays a limited role in public life for many people in Czech society today.  The WS team will join forces with the Medlanky K12 church plant in the city Brno to organize daily outreach activities for children, youth, and adults as a way to increase the church’s relational footprint in the community.

Ways To Pray:

  • Pray for openness and receptivity on the part of those who will be invited to each activity.
  • Pray for good teamwork throughout the week as we collaborate with the Czech believers.
  • Pray that the team would be a huge encouragement to the church plant in their efforts to reach their community for Christ.

Honduras

July 24-Aug. 2

Education in rural Honduras faces challenges rooted in poverty, geographic isolation, and limited resources. Many rural communities have underfunded schools, teacher shortages, and inadequate infrastructure. They often lack electricity, internet, and basic learning materials. Because children are needed to contribute to household income, irregular attendance and high dropout rates are common. Our team of students will minister to children and youth in schools in the region of Morazan, offering day-long fun activities using high energy games, crafts, songs, and short Bible lessons.

Ways To Pray:

  • Pray for the team to stay strong, healthy, and fully invested throughout the long days of ministry.
  • Pray for friendship to be established quickly and for hearts to be open to the Gospel.
  • Pray that the Honduran students connecting with our team would feel loved, encouraged to trust God, and desire to have a lifelong relationship with Him through Christ.
