Operation Christmas Child is a project of Samaritan’s Purse, an international relief organization. OCC provides local partners around the world with shoeboxes filled with small toys, hygiene items, and school supplies as a means of reaching out to children in their communities with the good news of Jesus. We ship these simple gifts to children affected by war, poverty, natural disaster, famine, and disease.
Pick up a shoebox at church & fill it with items to encourage children during this holiday season. Select a medium to large “wow” item such as a soccer ball with a pump or stuffed animal, then fill it with other fun toys, hygiene items, and school supplies. Don’t forget to also include a personal note and photo—sometimes these are the child’s favorite things to receive!
Most importantly, “pray without ceasing” (1 Thess. 5:17) for the child who will receive your shoebox gift. Pray for their family to also be receptive to the Good News of Jesus Christ, the pastor of the church who delivers your shoebox gift and for their community to be transformed by the Gospel.

Serve at the collection station, where you welcome and pray with people who drop off shoeboxes. Other volunteers will help load trucks with hundreds of shoeboxes we prayerfully anticipate receiving.
Help process shoe boxes that get sent to the collection center in Baltimore as a way to serve together with this organization!
