VBS 2025

Will You Help?

The people of God are instrumental in helping children come to know Jesus as He truly is! It takes many volunteers to run VBS, and no matter what your giftings are, there is a place for you.

Missions Emphasis

Each year we work as a team to raise support for our partners sharing the love of Jesus around the world. The kids love this and always blow us away with their generosity!
This year we are raising funds to launch the LaJwad Soccer Club in a North African refugee camp. Millenium Relief and Development Services (MRDS) has partnered with a local Saharawi man who is the founder and coach of this club for elementary and middle school children. Our goal is to raise $5,000 for soccer balls, uniforms, and equipment. MRDS works with children and adults in the refugee camp, and any funds not used towards the soccer club will benefit the refugees in other ways such as language classes, art programs for children, or other charitable projects.
If you would like to contribute to this fundraising effort, please make your checks out to West Shore Free Church with “VBS Missions” in the memo line.

FAQ’s

  • I’ve never been to your church before. Where should I go?

Follow signs to the South entrance. There will be greeters and registration team members at that entrance to welcome you and show you where to go next!

  • What time should I arrive?

Our registration kiosks in the upstairs lobby will be available beginning at 5:30pm each night. That’s where you’ll stop first to get your child’s daily nametag and your daily pick-up tag. You will need to remain with your children until 5:45pm each night, as that is when their teachers will be ready to receive them. Keep in mind that check-in typically takes longer the first night than the rest of the week!

  • Where do I drop off & pick up my child?

Drop-off and pick-up of 4- & 5-year-old children will be held in the nursery and preschool lobbies. Drop-off and pick-up of children who have completed kindergarten through 5th grade will take place in the Worship Center.

  • Why does the night end earlier for preschool children?

This gives you the option of getting your younger children home to bed a bit earlier, so they aren’t exhausted by the end of the week! If you’d rather they not miss the closing Worship Rally, or if you need to stay to pick up your elementary children, you are welcome to take your preschool children into the Worship Center and enjoy the closing songs and skit with them.

  • Who is allowed to pick up my child?

Your child will ONLY be released to the person who has his or her matching pick-up tag. If a different person drops off and picks up, a picture of the pick-up tag can be texted to the person who is picking up your child.

  • What’s different about Friday?

On Friday evening, we end a bit earlier, and we invite families to join us for a closing Worship Rally from 7:40-8pm. The pick-up time on Friday for preschoolers will be 7:30pm, and the pick-up time for elementary students will be 8pm.

  • I have more questions.

We would love to answer any questions you may have. Please reach out to us at children@westshorefree.org, and we’ll respond as quickly as we can.
